Seems like every year we (me included) start the year hating it, and by the end of the year it does well. Just a thought. Go Saints...:)

Well it helps when you actually have the same offensive linemen playing the same positions week in and week out. Plus Grant being healthy made him look a lot more like his '07 form than his '08 form.

If we take a tackle in the first round of the draft, it's definitely going to be someone who fits the ZBS scheme, even if it's a project like Bulaga from Iowa.

All points agreed. I have read that Brown from USC is undersized LT from a weight standpoint, but is a good ZBS guy. He should be available late first early second. Of course, still very early to see where guys SHOULD go in the draft. And, the Packers chose a Tackle from USC in the 90s in the first round and that did not go so well.......aahhhhh Michels.

I don't think it would be that big of an issue if we get an undersized LT. It might actually help him move better / faster against the likes of a Jared Allen...

Just as long as he is strong.

That was funny, three years ago. Find new material.

As for ZBS, I don't like it. I didn't like it in year one or since. I like my DL and OL to be BIG AND BEEFY. I want our team to smash people in the mouth, not try to finesse them with dainty cut blocks. (I know they are not dainty, as many injures come from the one receiving them)

I agree with you. I want a line that just outmuscles the other team. My dream line would play with a mean streak and follow through on blocks until the defensive player's ass was on the sideline.

Edit: A note about cut/chop blocks. I played DE and our coach always told us if a player tries to cut block you or especially if they chop block, you fall on them with a knee straight into their back. :thumbleft:

The running game ended the season on a high note, so the ZBS comes out looking better than most of us thought during the season. It's happened before. I still don't like the ZBS, though. I think our offense has succeeded in spite of it rather than because of it. And it is a hybrid scheme, although I'm not sure of the proportion of ZBS plays to power running plays.

beast (2-Aug) : I believe it's technically against the CBA rules, but Jerry just calls it a simple unofficial chat... and somehow gets away with it.
beast (2-Aug) : Jerry Jones is infamous for ̶n̶e̶g̶o̶t̶i̶a̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ chatting with players one on one... and going around the agent.
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Oo just saw a blurb saying that Dallas negotiated directly with Parsons and not through his agent
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I assumed that both guys will get paid, just a matter of when or how we get there
Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : McLaurin nor Micah going anywhere. They will get money
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : the Synder years or do they take care of one of their own?

beast (30-Jul) : RIP site 😭
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site will die, I have to restart it.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Quinn stinks. Lot of underthrows. (my guess)
beast (30-Jul) : How did Quinn Ewers effect where Golden was drafted?
dfosterf (30-Jul) : All I've experienced was late at night or early morning. I just figured you were doing something in the background
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site sure seems to be down more than up
dfosterf (29-Jul) : 50 cent hookers? I'm moving to Green Bay. I thought it was just real estate that was more affordable there. 😂
Zero2Cool (29-Jul) : Sure seems site going down more than 50¢ hooker
Mucky Tundra (27-Jul) : Golden with two TDs in red zone drills today
