LMFAO you're the 2nd biggest dumbass of the night (behind packer98).

Mike McCarthy had a GREAT game. Team really showed up to play. We just lost because of Flynn's inexperience.

He is the only reason we were in the whole game until, when it counted. THE 4TH QT. No play for Flynn on 4th down and no TO.

I changed my name when u change yours to "I'm gagging on Mike McCarthy's balls"

You should change your name to "Viking98."

Told my wife in the 4th 1/4, if nothing else, Flynn just doubled his 401k. Showed he belongs in the NFL, and fwiw, McCarthy called a brilliant game.

A Patriot fan looked at the schedule in April and/or May and thought about how Bill Belichick will devise his gameplan to stop Aaron Rodgers, Ryan Grant and Jermichael Finley.

Fast forward to December and now they have to gameplan for Matt Flynn, John Kuhn and Andrew Quarless.

And Green Bay still showed some balls. This team has a ton of fight in it. They show up every week for the most part. That is a reflection of good coaching. Coaching hasn't been perfect, but nowhere near as bad as this thread would have you to believe.

This team has the makings of something special. They need to pendulum to swing there way and it is due to happen soon.

Eh, I've wanted MM fired since October. No use calling for it or getting into it till the offseason.

Tired of seeing so much mismanagement. Took Rodgers going down for him to call a balanced game. Ridiculous.

This Packers situation reminds me of the current Chicago Bulls team. Basically the same team as last year, pretty solid team but a terrible coach. Shitcanned the coach, got a GOOD one in, and those same players (Rose, Noah,Deng) are playing off the charts.

MM is underperforming with what we're seeing is a pretty deep roster.

Let's hope this is his last season here.

twebdonny is seriously talking shit; and frankly his opinion is jumbled up and his main point (fire McCarthy) detracts from any possible reasonable discussion of MM's short comings.

MM called a hell of a game; he had his team ready to play. Tremendous game planning, excellent balance, and frankly he had us in a position to win this game.

However, that final blunder of having no call is inexcusable. Seriously, you mean to tell me the Packers don't have any standard play they can call final play of the game needing a TD?

Now MM may very well have been trying to communicate with Flynn, but his headset may not have worked. Still, that is no excuse. You have to have a play call ready, or at least let Flynn know he has to call a final play should the clock get down to 10 seconds.

Yes, Flynn is inexperienced. All the more reason McCarthy should have been better with these little details.

All in all, McCarthy called a great game. He had his players ready to play. But he does deserve serious questioning of how the final 25 seconds of that game played out. We do not need to do something drastic as fire him; that's totally unjustified.

But there is a worrying trend developing, and it is starting to look like MM's shortcomings are causing this team games. Still, that is not to say he should be fired, but that at the least he needs to do some critical self-analysis.

Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
