I definitely see Jermichael Finley coming back.

Yes, I know the drops are excruciatingly annoying to see, but at least half of them are on Aaron Rodgers. The guy will even admit it. I distinctly remember him saying "Jermichael is one of those guys that I can throw open."

Throw open? That just sounds like cocky bullshit.

Losing Finley would be an extreme blow to this offfense. Yes, we won the Super Bowl without him. But if Finley never drew the weird coverages opposing defenses threw at him, you wouldn't see Jordy Nelson and Greg Jennings having the year they've had.

Without Finley, you can forget about Rodgers ever having another 40+TD year again. You can probably expect more 9-7 seasons over 13-3s too.

People act all conservative whenever Finley opens his mouth. It's not like he's saying anything disrespectful or making the locker room uncomfortable. And how can you say he's going to "demand more money?" He probably will, but he's not going to ask for the entire bank. He knows he sucked.

Finley will be re-signed through a contract with possibility reaching a lot of escalators depending on his performance. The franchise tag won't be necessary. I guarantee that.

And if he does demand a boatload of money, he won't get it. Simple as that.

Finleys big mouth and bad hands aren't a good negotiating ploy on his end. I think there will be a influx of the new type of TE in the league in the next few years so it's not like finley is rare.

So if we don't have Finley should expect 9-7 seasons? LMAO!!!

If Finley could catch the ball Rodgers would probably have had a 50+ TD year instead of 40+ if we're going that route.

Finley lost himself a lot of money, but luckily he has next year (with franchise tag about 5 mil. for him) to make it back.

I think you should all read blueleopard's post two or three times. I think his assessment of the situation with Jermichael Finley is exactly correct.

May be I am crazy but I think you have to bring Finley back or something to replace him at least, you cannot go into next season with the TEs we have. You see what a Jimmy Graham or Groniwoekejekekwksi give you. It's hard to find a good TE, there are some okay ones like the Jeremy Shockey's of the world but Finley has a lot of potential. I am not really sure why people are so mad at him from yesterday's game, I can understand other games, he's made some costly drops. At the right price, why not?

I think Finley lost a lot of leverage on contract talks this year ... with all his drops. If his smart he signs a 3 year deal to get his stock up and that could even give us a chance to see what the kid has!

Finley is a very hard worker and is super competitive. He just lost his confidence. We will NOT find a TE to replace him at his level.

Our offense last year was ok.. But having Finley in there really helped the big plays out cause they sheltered him in coverage in the cover 2 scheme they covered him down the seam and then a safety would come over top of him leaving plays to be made well down the field.

He is a big part of the offense and he will be back..Can we get someone in here as good? simple answer is NO. Not unless we hit a HR in the draft, but even then McCarthy has shown an inability to use 1st year players in big roles. Finley, Nelson and Cobb are of that example.
