I still give a lot of weight to what guys like Manning and Aikman say when they say they learned by playing. It didn't hurt both of those guys had good running backs and a star receiver early on. SF really never had that for Smith to develop with. I agree with Zero, though, I think he's still the same QB even if he sits three years.

I don't think there's a right way or a wrong way to do it as each situation can be different. First I think a QB has to real real mentally srong to strt as a rookie like Manning and unlike Ryan Leaf. That part I think Rodgers would of been fine. The other factor I think is what kind of team is around him. Rookie QB plus young team = trouble. There I think Aaron was lucky not to start his rookie year with that team. A lot different then the team Big Ben got to start as a rookie with

I still thing Rodgers>Smith overall in the NFL, if they switched places i think rodgers would still be better....

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me the lottery numbers, after all most of you supposedly know the future and how Rodgers is a great QB after 3 games (2 against the worst pass defenses in the NFL and 1 where he looked like a deer in headlights) So please guys seeing you know the future and claim he is going to be a great GIMMIE the lottery numbers i need the money lol. As far as A-Rod hes only got 2 games left before hes on a long vacation 🙂 the Yankees Suck

Even if they compare him to Smith who threw for about 350 yards for his 1st 3 starts, and say AR is better after 3 games then Smith was after 3 games, the hidden message is AR is HOF

Damn touchy touchy aren't we:p geesh i was having some fun and people are getting up tight but if you want to go there look at most of the forum LONG damn they are trying to compare Rodgers to Brett and Rodgers can't even carry Bretts jock strap. But cmon Long tell me atleast the powerball number lol i'll take the $4 😛
