Hawk has a spot on this team until he doesn't... everyone... and I mean everyone sooner or later is replaced.

All this OSU talk is just making the wait til tomorrow evening that much more difficult... hopefully Urb has a face like this on after the game with Wisconsin running wild.

The loss of JT Barret really hurts.

Meyer won't use it as an excuse, nor will I, but IMHO, The Badgers are the better team going into this game.

Either way, The Big Ten(12?)(13?) will be well represented in The Bowl games.

MIKE MCCARTHY

.(On Hawk) A.J. still has a role. We have a lot of packages. We'll see how Atlanta comes out. He's been an outstanding football player for us. He's still a part of it.

Hmmmm should I believe Mike or dakotat????

Decisions Decisions

I think I will agree with The Head Coach!!!!

I don't know what the big deal is here, The Packers finally have a good number of HEALTHY Lbr's.

Being able to throw in different package after different package is only going to BENEFIT The Packers in the long run.

You all just stay hung up on AJ Hawk and the number of plays he is in.

In the end if The Packers keep winning and The Defense keeps improving, all will be happy.

Well, not all, those who look for something to bitch about, will find it.

MM was spot on with one part of his quote..."has been" sums it up quite nicely. He wasn't referring to AJ in present tense but past. He's being Jeff Saturday'd.

As for MM's hyperbole, I offer you this on Jarrett Boykin from this season:

"I'm as high on Boykin as anybody in our building," McCarthy said Friday from the NFL Scouting Combine, per Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "He had a heck of a year, and I still think he has another jump in him."

"Clearly, Jarrett Boykin has taken the next step," McCarthy said Tuesday, via the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "I just love the way he plays. He's had an excellent camp.

"He's physical, his toughness, he's relentless. I think he's exceptional at the top of his route. You see his strength and balance to separate from a DB."

----LMAO... Where art thou oh, Jarrett,.. Where art thou? MM wasn't higher on ANYONE in the building than you.

EDIT: I'm sure MM would say Jarrett still has a role... 3 receptions for 23 yards this season. (almost as good as Alshon Jeffery)

I only brought Boykin into this to show how what MM says is not exactly always accurate as nerd pointed out above. Yes, he has made more game changing plays than AJ Hawk this season. Pretty sad.

Hawk forces a fumble about once every 3 seasons... has no TD's... rarely has a pick or a sack and tackles guys well down the field almost never in the backfield or at line.

A zero impact player. Good riddance.

I wouldn't go that far. A.J. Hawk says he was asked to lose weight and I think that was a mistake. He looks very skinny out there. I would have suggested he bulk some muscle and work on flexibility before asking him to shed pounds.

He looked SLOW on the play against the Queens. On a number of those plays.

If AJ makes it into the Packers Hall of Fame, I wouldn't ever visit it again on principle.

The guy defines mediocrity and no impact.

Pete Dougherty at Packersnews.com nailed it....just nailed it. That article is YEARS overdue.

http://www.packersnews.com/story/sports/nfl/packers/dougherty/2014/12/04/time-bench-aj-hawk/19932421/

Soon, there will be no more Hawk defenders as he will be released in the off-season. Finally.

Zero2Cool (9-Aug) : Woo-hoo
TheKanataThrilla (9-Aug) : NFL Network is broadcasting the game tonight, but not in Canada. Not sure why as no local television is showing the game.
beast (8-Aug) : But the Return from IR designations had to be applied by the 53 man cutdown.
beast (8-Aug) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 😔
dfosterf (8-Aug) : Apparently it is too complicated for several to follow your simple instructions, but I digress
dfosterf (8-Aug) : Zero- Did you see what I posted about Voice of Reason and his wife? She posted over at fleaflicker that they are both "In"
Zero2Cool (7-Aug) : Well, not crazy, it makes sense. Crazy I didn't notice/find it earlier
Zero2Cool (7-Aug) : it's crazy how one stored procedure to get data bogged everything down for speed here
dfosterf (7-Aug) : to herd cats or goldfish without a bowl. They reminded me of the annual assembly of our fantasy league
dfosterf (7-Aug) : out on a field trip, outfitting them with little yellow smocks. Most of the little folk were well behaved, but several were like trying
dfosterf (7-Aug) : Yesterday my wife and I spent the afternoon on the waterfront here in Alexandria, Va. A daycare company took about 15 three/four year olds
wpr (7-Aug) : seems faster. yay
dfosterf (7-Aug) : Wife of reason posted on the in/out thread on fleaflicker that both she and vor are in
Zero2Cool (7-Aug) : This page was generated in 0.135 seconds.
Mucky Tundra (7-Aug) : Tbh, I can never tell the difference in speed unless it's completely shitting the bed
Zero2Cool (7-Aug) : Sure does feel like site is more snappy
Zero2Cool (6-Aug) : I thought that was the Lions OL
Mucky Tundra (6-Aug) : Travis Glover placed on IR; seasons over for him
Zero2Cool (6-Aug) : found bad sql in database, maybe site faster now?
dfosterf (5-Aug) : I'm going to call that a good move.
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : Packers sign CB Corey Ballentine
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : I'm not sure how to kill the draft order just yet so it's not so confusing.
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : *to be able
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : and because it's not a dynasty league (which makes a lot more sense to be ability to trade picks)
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Oh I know; I was just exploring and it blew my mind that you could trade picks because of the whole reordering thing
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Zero, I think I preferred my offer: your 1st for my 15th rounder
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : Keep in mind, we do a draft reorder once all members locked in
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : You can have my 12th Rd for your 2nd round
