Just for fun, in Jennings averages the same numbers and plays for 10 years, this is what his stats will look like:
592 catches, 9470 yards, and 80 TDS.

Considering that is an average, factoring in his short/rookie season in 2006, i think its pretty realistic that he could accomplish that, or more if he stays healthy. In prespective, those stats are very similar to TO in his first 10 years.

Am i saying Grew will play for 10 years?

HELL NO!

He'll play for 30.

And yet, sadly, Jennings' only chance of seeing the Hall of Fame is for the Packers to win a couple of Super Bowls in his tenure here.

Hey, Aaron Rodgers, are you listening? :D

I have to disagree with this.

It would be great to have a couple rings on his finger, but that isn't his only shot at the hall, if he keeps putting up numbers like he has, he will easily walk into the hall.

I will never say he would walk into the hall of fame, look at the other wrs that will be ahead of him:

Moss
Owens
Steve Smith
Marvin Harrison
Issac Bruce , before you laugh his stats are 1003 receptions and counting, 15000 yards and 91 tds.

Those are just a few plus also remember Art Monk and all his records ? It took him 10 years to get into the Hall.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

It might take 15-30 years for all I care, my point is he will make it there with out a ring, his stats support it. He's on pace to pass all the records that Driver will have set when he retires(don't know if there national or Packer records though), even if he plays for a few less years(don't feel like doing the projection now).

Ok i'm totally confused. If he beats Drivers stats that means he makes the Hall of fame? Also why do you insist that he will go into the Hall ringless?

Well first off, thats baced on the pretty common assumtion that Driver is going into the hall and Driver is, as of yet, ring less. And since Jennings > Driver as far as record books are concerned in my scenario, then its simple mathematical logic that he will make it into the hall along side Driver.

Driver is going into the HoF? I seriously doubt that. Same goes for Jennings with all these up and coming receivers.

If Jennings is going in, so should Brandon Marhsall, Roddy White, Andre Johnson, Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, Wes Welker, Randy Moss, Reggie Wayne, Steve Smith. That is if we asume that they will all keep going at the same rate.

Point is, he'll have to do something special to get into the HoF. Catching the amount of TDs that he did while looking at his yards in 2007 is a good start. If he'll do something like that, I see him going in.

Driver will be in the Packers Hall of Fame.. but his production.. even if he played another 5 years aren't worthy of the Hall..

I love how the guy plays.. great player.. just doesn't belong.

I think Jennings is a world of talent.. but Packer blog/forum nation has way to much of a "crush" upon him.. wildly over-rated at this point.

I see why people are drawn to Jennings, quality human being and a very faith filled man.. has big play ability written all over his numbers.. but isn't in the elite category of receivers at this moment.. yet some have him Walking on Water..

Don't get me wrong.. I enjoy watching the guy play and develop.. and relish the fact that he is a Packer... but he is far from earning the amount of praise that he is given around here.

He has a chance to do special things in this game.. we shall see.

Greg Jennings is not over rated. He is one of the top ten WR in the league. This can be solidified after Donald Driver is gone and if he continues to put up the same numbers. If he doesn't, well, then he is not a top ten WR.
