I understand what Rodgers is saying... Kampy is going to get more opportunities to get more sacks.

They are friends. He has probably been saying that over and over to him face to face. I see no challenge here. I doubt Kampy does either.

I think things are getting over blown here.

Geez..if BF said the same thing, everyone would have been patting him on the back for being a team leader.
AR says something, and he's the devil.
Go figure.
BF told how he felt about Sterling Sharpe and Javon Walker and was praised for it.

Wow. Rodgers must have woke up on the wrong side of the friggen planet. Almost every comment was argumentative and aggressive. Kampman might have not said anything, but Rodgers said all the wrong things. I would expect McCarthy and the coaches to have some words to say to Rodgers over this. Personally I find these comments to be worse than his get on board comment, because this is an "attack" on a teammate. And you never, ever attack one's teammate. This is not how you build camaraderie. It did seem that Rodgers sounded like he didn't want to be on the show from the start though. Even so, very, very poor form here Mr. Rodgers.

If it was a reporter writing it.. I would maybe agree with that we might be jumping a little too hard on it because we won't know the tone of the conversation.

But listen to Rodgers tone... condescending as all hell... and if I am his teammate; you bet your ass I am not happy. Feel that way.. fine keep it in the locker room and express it there.

Hell I am not happy and it affects me little.. sounds like a disrespectful little punk.. And you damn a skippy I don't care for it..

(just listened to the program)
Well to be honest - I think kampman deserves the comments. Not sure if they should of been publically but hey at least we can talk about it here ;)

I tend to agree with arod - boy has got to get with the program and enjoy the change/process. I'm sure he will do fine as long as his heads in the game; heck it should almost be a given considering all the changes we have made. What we going to be worse then last year?
Come on ...

Our backers should have a field day with capers/greene and our new Dline

thanks for the link btw

Not I said the grasshopper.. I thought he was out of line as well. The only praise I gave him as that he stated one should honor their contract.. and I agree.. but he was out of place sticking his nose into it in the media.

Coaching staff.. fine you can speak upon matter such as this.. but as a peer.. I think it incorrect and arrogant.

And I like that Rodgers is our QB.. but statements like this I think little of and will speak my peace to them.

I'm with pack93z on this one. Why is it that professional athletes have such leeway in terms of their perceived professionalism yet any other professional, making irresponsible comments on the sly can be sued for slander/libel or fired for it. There's no excuses. Rodgers never should have said what he said. And that applies to pretty much 90% of what any given NFL player says.

On one side, you don't turn on your guys like this. He seemed pissed through out the interview and should not fall off his teammate like this. It still didn't sound as bad to me as you guys seem to take it, but I can see why you would not do this.

On the other side, he really didn't say something that offensive. He said that he disagress with what the hosts states, says that Kampman didn't handle this well and then sums up a lot of positives about this change. Is that not pretty much stating the facts? Maybe he shouldn't have done it on the air like that, but really, he didn't say anything wrong.

A second point is that this might just be an irritation factor. If he acts the same way on the practice field as he does to the media, someone would have to tell him something about that. I doubt that McCarthy would do that. He seems like a softy.

This is all just speculation though.

wow, reading some of the comments I thought it was going to be terrible but after I listened to it I didn't think what he said was nearly as bad as you guys are making it sound.

Here are the parts that bothered me

1. they asked if Kampman should get an extension because they believe in him and what does Rodgers say? No it would be the dumbest thing. This coming from a guy that sat on the bench for 3 years and then played 7 games and got a huge contract because Teddy believes in him. That struck me very wrong.

2. The way he was acting like he is the master of the 3-4 and knows how it should be run better than Kampman does. Give me a damn break he has never played defense and doesn't sit in their meetings so how the hell does he know what its like. He acts like no matter what he is right and everyone should go by what he says. Also why is he worrying about what AK's stats are? I am guessing Capers has to get the ok from Rodgers on how to run the defense.

I guess he learned the Ego from Brett but hasn't done anything to earn it.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)
