Cheesey, you disparage science with many claims of inaccuracy - perhaps you might want to cite sources.

I'd like to see where exactly "Carbon dating has been PROVEN inaccurate."

Here's one that brings up alot of information. It's alot to read, but try reading it with an open mind. I think you'll find out some things you didn't know.

Here is another one who believes in evolution, and the responses to him.

This means that the biosphere just prior to the Flood might have had 500 times more carbon

If that were the case

When the Flood is taken into account along with the decay of the magnetic field, it is reasonable to believe

I am trying to comprehend that article, really sick today so hard to truly concentrate..but reading it I found the quotes I posted interesting..

Are they just "assuming" things to fit their theory? Cuz that is what I am gathering from it INITIALLY..

I am going to re-read it again and maybe I am missing something

FYI**************

I am not trying to be sarcastic, nor trying to be a dick, but I am honestly questioning those quotes.

They also show a display where white moths flourished, and most of the trees in the area are white birch trees. Then a factory moved in, and blew soot out, which covered the white trees with black soot. In a short time, guess what happened? There were very few white moths, and lots of black ones! POOF! The moths evolved! (Thats what the display says, this PROVED evolution) Now, lets see. White colored moths, and black colored moths. Where is the evolution? Both are what? 100% MOTH. Here is the explanation of what REALLY is the case. White and black moths were born in equal numbers all along! Both colors were in their DNA! If you put a BLACK moth onto a white tree, and it's next to a white moth, which one stands out more? Which one is more likely to be seen by birds and other predators? Now change the color of the trees to black.....NOW which color moth stands out?

I am very interested in all this..Never really looked into any of the creation/evolution stuff..

So decided to do some re-search today as no one is home and i feel like a sick dog..

2nd link was this

Article about the moth Alan is talking about

Alan, your moths were being eaten more no doubt..but the guy that witnessed that was placing the moths on the trunks of the trees..

In truth, however, there were problems with Kettlewell's experiments. Perhaps the most significant was that he released moths onto tree trunks.

Although moths occasionally choose trunks as a daytime resting place, they prefer the underside of branches. Kettlewell also let his moths go during the day, even though they normally choose their resting place at night. And he released more moths than would naturally be present in an area, which may have made them more conspicuous and tempted birds to eat them even if they wouldn't normally.

I admit this stuff does fascinate me..As a kid growing up and talking religion classes in junior high before being confirmed I often thought to myself..When we die how weird is it going to be to live forever...

I am a believer in GOD but my mind also needs evidence to believe in something..On the surface it appears there is more evidence to support the science part of all this..But there are many layers to the entire debate..

I am not trying to bunch Alan's panties to rile him up, but trying to find evidence of both sides..

Could it be GOD is making things to evolve?

He knows something needs to fix with something and allows it to evolve itself?

That would explain both sides

God doesn't NEED evolution. He does it right the first time.
And, if we evolved, why wouldn't HE just say so?
As far as the moth thing LT....i KNEW the guy faked it. Which i probably SHOULD have brought up. But i was only trying to show how that was used as "proof" as evolution in the Milwaukee Public Museum. Being as the guy faked it in the first place, even shows just how far people will go to try to "prove" evolution. They will lie, make up stuff and say it's all true. I'd say that proves my point even more so. Heck, it didn't stop the museum from using that display. They even had one showing the supposed "evolution" of horses. Of course it goes from a little horse looking creature, to the horse we know today. What they don't say is that the fossils they were using to build this supposed progression didn't occur in the fossil record in the order they show in the display. Just another "fudging" of truth to fit their already made up conclusion.

And God doesn't get things wrong, so why would he have to create something that needed to "fix" itself?

Lets see....it's ok for evolution to "assume" that everything was back in history as it is now. And they use carbon dating as if they know for certain everything WAS as it is now. Have you ever seen the bugs trapped in "amber"? (It is in the movie "Jurassic Park") That part was not faked, they have found bubbles of tree sap "amber" like that. Of course they haven't been able to create dinosaurs. But in real life, when they drill into the amber, the trapped air has oxygen levels MUCH higher then we have now. That shows that the conditions were not like they are now. That alone leaves wonder of these "measuring sticks" they use today.
Plus, if you read up on carbon dating, it shows that you can only go back so far and you are trying to measure something that really can't be measured. So you can make it find whatever number you want it to show.

Don't feel too bad LT.....I'm not feeling at all well today either. Spent most of my day in the bathroom. NOT fun!

It doesn't necessarily need a fix, but it adapts to new situations. Something that would make perfect sense to me, whether you're an athiest or a christian.

I think that it's pretty obvious that evolution is real. Generations of any being always seem to adapt to circumstances. Small things that are pretty obvious, even, like dogs missing the claw further up their leg or people just getting bigger. The body itsself evolves during a lifespan. From little things as building up immunities to diseases from, obviously getting older. It perfects itsself, if you will, if you're a tabula rasa guy.

That doesn't mean that there is no God who created mankind and what not in the first place. From what I've heared, the biggest missing link is still that between nothing and a cell. A cell has quite a few parts, something which, for as far as I know but I could be wrong here, still has no explenation.

I think that they go hand in hand pretty well.
