IMO, with the exception of Leinie's original, one would be well served by limiting oneself to beers/ales/malt beverages from one of four countries:

1. Scotland.
2. England ("bitter" only, ideally "cask ales").
3. Belgium.
4. Australia (stout only).

Of course, if all one cares about is having a horrible hangover, there's always Stella.

Wait until you guys get old.

There are stages to this whole beer drinking thing.

I think most of you are still in the pseudo-sophisticate quasi-beer snob stage.

My biggest criteria is the smell of the beer farts, and I will waive that prerequisite for about a 2 dollar a case price differential. lol

Back when I drank and lived in a bachelor pad (this was when I lived with a bunch of college guys.. I didn't go. I enjoyed all the parties without the payment/school work) I remember drinking A LOT of Milwaukee's Best Light bottles. I believe they were $5 a case of 12. You can't go wrong with that. Now, mind you, I hated the Beast. HATED it. Until I tried it in the bottles. It was like a totally different beer! I'd pregame with a 6 pack of Bud Light, then move on to 2 cases of the Beast, then hit the bars. Well, bar. We'd never make it out of the first place we hit.. LOL

Yeah.. We drank that stuff because we really had no choice. It was either beer, or food. Most of the time it was beer. And even then we had to sacrifice taste for affordability. We were smart shoppers, though, that's for sure. $20 would get my friend and I a large Papa Murphy's pizza, 2 cases of the Beast, and a six pack of Bud Light. That was our Saturday morning/noon.

Now this is a bunch I can get behind, so to speak.

Royale Order of the Blue Flame

I have a problem with their math. It is stated that one in eight people produce enough methane for it to be flammable.

These people must be too prissy to drink Milton Bradley. a/k/a "Toy beer" in these parts, you guys are calling it Milwaukee's Best...or the "Beast"

It ain't the beast for nothin' is all I'm sayin'...

There is no friggin' way that those farts generated after sucking down a twelve pack of Milton Bradley are not highly flammable, I don't give a damn who is drinking it.

lol

Last time I was in Green Bay I tried Spotted Cow. Nothing special. It was ok. I think its probably only popular because it has a funny name.

I don't get beer farts, so that doesn't factor into my evaluation at all.

The closest I have ever come to a decent lager was Baltika Extra Lager, a Russian beer. It was an unusually malty, almost fruity beer, 9% alcohol if I remember correctly. I enjoyed the first half of it, but then the sweetness got cloying and I had a hard time finishing the whole thing. The buzz was pleasant, however. ;)

Yeah, really. Beer drinking is so, well, 20-something'ish.

What do I drink? Glad you asked.

If a beer, I'll drink Guinness. Probably has nothing to do with the beer and everything to do with when I'm drinking Guinness, I'm imagining myself with a hot redhead. I love redheads.

Bombay Sapphire with the bottle of Vermouth nearby (but not in the actual martini glass) with two olives, stirred, not shaken. That's a real martini. Vodka in a martini glass is NOT a martini. It's just vodka in a martini glass.

Or Johnny Walker Scotch, Black Label. I'm not snobby enough for the more expensive labels yet. Just pour it over ice.

If you're drinking a Bud or a Coors, especially Coors light, then I'm just going to have soda pop because if you're not going to drink, I won't either. In that case, Dr. Pepper or Cherry Coke.

beast (12-Aug) : I believe Musgrave has been injured every single season since at least a Sophomore in highschool
packerfanoutwest (12-Aug) : Matt LaFleur: “Highly unlikely” Jordan Love plays more this preseason
dfosterf (12-Aug) : Doubs, Savion Williams, LVN, Musgrave all banged up to one degree or another, missing one here I forget

Zero2Cool (12-Aug) : zero help, dominated. preseason

beast (8-Aug) : But the Return from IR designations had to be applied by the 53 man cutdown.
beast (8-Aug) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 😔
dfosterf (8-Aug) : Apparently it is too complicated for several to follow your simple instructions, but I digress

Zero2Cool (7-Aug) : it's crazy how one stored procedure to get data bogged everything down for speed here
dfosterf (7-Aug) : to herd cats or goldfish without a bowl. They reminded me of the annual assembly of our fantasy league
