I don't know if you guys have been following this, but there's quite a war between these two guys going on on Twitter.

Sharper's "X marks the spot"

"Well, y'all seen Brett had surgery on that ankle we got after in the championship game," Saints safety Darren Sharper said. "Come Thursday night 1st game. X marks the spot."

That, of course, got him a reply from the Vikings players on Twitter. With Shiancoe going after him the most.

Shiancoe's responce.

Responding to Saints safety Darren Sharper's "X marks the spot" comment about Favre's ankle, Shiancoe pointed out that he and his teammates could say the same about Sharper's knee.

"That's all good, but Sharper had surgery, too . . . and it was the knee," Shiancoe said. "If X makes the spot on Brett, I wonder what marks the spot on Sharper."

Sharper's responce to that.

Now, Sharper has responded. "So visanthe stankoe X marks the spot on me, how bout X marks the spot for how many catches and TDs you'll have come Thursday night," Sharper said on his Twitter page. "X = zero."

Then Sharper decided to make it interesting. "If you feeling yourself put your game check on it," Sharper said. "No TDs and less than 3 catches you give me your game check. Now whose talking."

Then it started to get a little ugly and offensive to some people.

And that especially pissed of Sharper, who's going for retaliation right now.

Of course, it all means little, most likely, but there's no such thing as too much drama in the NFL.

Sharper better watch his mouth. If he does do an illegal hit on Shiancoe this year, the Commish isn't going to go easy on him with twitter evidence that it was pre-planned.

I hope not. I was a huge Sharp fan in Minny.. He wasn't able to adapt to the system he was in and blew his angles ALL the time.

To me, an HoF player should be one that's consistently putting up numbers.. and in the years in MN, the only consistency was how low the numbers were.

As for Shiancoe, unless he pulls huge numbers the next 3-4 years, he won't see the Hall. But he's the most underrated TE in the league, IMO.
